  • 21st Oct, 2001 at 1:50 AM
grafiti

* * *

"I want to know who she is"
"You are thirsty, here is a drink"
"Would your write down my words?"
"Go on then"
"& your words too?"
"In English they call it "to write letters"
"Cherries?"
"I don't eat much. But...yes, thanks"
"You are amazing"
"Probably"
"One day you will be my wife"
"How interesting"
"It's real love"
"Mine is real too"
"But mine is more real"
"Ah forget it"
"What is worse: forget & live... Or remember & die?"
"Will you ever return to this place?"
"I don't see how I can return"
"You did not have to disappear so abruptly"
"& you are so far away now"
"But at least I found you"
"What was I saying... Yes, cherries"
"Would you get me a drink, please?"
"You have all the drinks in the world"
"Amontillado"
"Amontillado"
"Remember & live or forget & die?"
"I think live"
"Will you marry me?"

* * *

I want to
see you in the darkness
when the half-curtained window
would be only showing the snow
as the only source of light,
when it would be too cold
to be apart...
to recognise you in the dark silhouette
set against the softly moving snow
when only slight outlines
of you face, shoulders & arms
would be visible
when only a slight sound
of your whisper would be audible
when we become snow & salt,
ever swapping the roles,
"when you are this, I am that"
"when you are that, I am this"
"I want anything you are"
"I am anything you want"
"Everything I have is yours"
"You are everything I have"
"I want you to know what I know"
"I know you want what I want"
"Here I am"
"I am here".
"You"
"You"

Re:

"You have all еру drinks in the world"

Working language's English, how 'bout that? For strategic planning purposes. The only one I can think of right now's the un-critical mass with the capital "m", shall we call him that. Whaddya think?
I am signing off for today. Will pick up your comment tomorrow and let's do talk again.

Re:
I agree, our celebrated slave trader deservers all condemnation we can throw at him, especially if he goes ahead with his deplorable plans to turn the ЖЖ into a profitable shopping experience. I could also recommend for immediate punishment the young gentleman who apparently dislikes Dostoyevsky so much that he deletes messages that bear the great master's quotations in them.

Out of curiosity, have u ever heard of E.E. Cummings?

I have. But my stubborn poetic reserve only leaves me with just one American poet whom I admire without any reservations. It is, indeed, Mr. Edgar Allan Poe.

Sasha, forgive the pause. I have guests in the house and all the related obligations. As I was driving today I thought about our plans to dismantle the reign of the petty and the shallow in LJ and here's what I came up with: 1. we should deploy on our own territory. i.e. use our own LJs and links to the aforementioned individuals and not comment in their journals. This makes our position stronger I think. 2. try to tackle the same subjects they cover in a way that'll provide an alternative to their thinking which would be in keeping with good taste and general cultural sanity. I shall begin my first operation mid-week as the guests leave. Let's do make it fun and tongue in cheek.

But darling,

you are more than welcome to become a member of our Anglo-Saxon fraction within the ЖЖ, and enjoy the benefits, as it were...
